Agenda

1) Bikes :
    a) Misha is coordinating it. Sign up for mailing list at http://cns.bu.edu/~cnso/mail
    b) Misha is also organizing the Boston Night rides.
    c) Trying file a petition and possibly lobby with the aid of organizations like GSO, BUGS for the Bike Tax Credit

2) Experimental Methods:
    a) Jenn & Stefan are heading this group to discuss on such topics. The committee would organize by Mid May.

3) CNS Server: Himanshu is heading this front
    a) Brian is updating the server to the latest version of BU Linux.
    b) Possible RAID and hardware updates?
    c) Rich Ivey working on scripting a complete Bibliography of all the files that Profs in the department have. All the PDFs of papers will be stored in a separate server. We have got approval for a         new server for this. This would soon be established into a wiki like system.
    d) Other suggestions and info, email Himanshu and copy to Jeff M.

4) Tutorials during summer.
    a) ART - Ben & Arun have organized a session on this. Possibly to be held next Friday ( 05/08/09 )
    b) CUDA - Rich could possibly give a tutorial on CUDA(the GPU language) by start of June, after ICCNS.
    c) Python- If there is enough response and support, Bret is willing to give a tutorial on basics of Python programming and beyond.
    d) Experiments & Statistics: John Tan is willing to give lectures or discuss with people at a convenient time on either Mon,Wed or Fri. This will be after ICCNS.
    e) Cluster Computing: If there is enough interest, we could have a SIG/student group for this too.

5) Neurotalks:
    Tren & Neel are moderators of the Boston Neurotalks. Since they are getting busy or moving out, Yohan will be the new moderator and Karthik will help him. Sid takes care of the entry into the Boston     Neurotalks google calendar

6) Website:
    a) Work has been started in getting things organized.
    b) Suggestions to put useful neuroscience links on the website.
    c) Any suggestions mail Karthik and Stefan
