About
Me
I am employed as the Graphics Programmer at Iron Lore Entertainment, working on an unannounced title for the PC and consoles. My job responsibilities include maintaining and updating the rendering engine on all platforms, designing cutting-edge rendering effects, authoring shaders, and working with the art and design teams to ensure that the rendering engine and associated tools meet their needs.
I received my PhD
from the Department of Cognitive
and Neural Systems at Boston University,
working with Ennio Mingolla and Stephen Grossberg. My research
involved the development of neural network models of
motion processing for visually-guided steering and obstacle
avoidance. I developed a novel GPU-based simulation system for
neural networks, utilizing the parallelism of the GPU for
hardware-accelerated computation. I have
a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Philosophy from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.
